College Football and Money....

It's a wonder why money has bought college football, in all aspects... Now.. here's what would be just so proper...

Simply pay a talented high school all star prospect, 10,000 dollars a year, to play college football for this certain university... and in stipulation that he or she has absolutely NO contact with the alumni, boosters, or sports agents... for 4 years, which the 10,000 dollars would pay for the player's tuition, and books... and some money left over for his or her own personal expenses...

Obviously some of these top name high school kids, come from broken homes, alcohol /drug related matters involving the parents That is why you see these kids go straight to college football, and then straight into the NFL, without having properly finished his 4 years of college education... It shows the fact that an alarming rate of college players are foregoing their junior and senior years to pursue a career in the NFL...

On the other hand.. the 10,000 dollars would mandate the player to stay for 4 years and pay off his or her own education bills. before going pro... and any simple violation of the 10,000 dollar payment would result in termination of the player at this university and barred from ANY other colleges across the country...

Simply a name comes to mind... Antonio Langham, of Alabama made the mistake of signing a money deal with a sports agent, several hours after Alabama had beaten Miami in the 1992 Sugar Bowl, and the claiming of the National Championship... therefore it resulted in a suspension of Antonio Langham, from the football team, and later kicked off the team, pending the investigation.. and resulted in Alabama being punished for 2 years on probation, and no bowl games and loss of scholarships... That is why the schools get the bum rap and the player goes scot free right into the NFL... That is outrageous.. and that has to STOP...

Consider the new rules and the case will result in the school having immunity, while the player is the one who takes the bum rap for violating the written contract to play 4 years of college ball.. it shows the abuse of money among college football... over the last 20 to 25 years...

Look at the likes of Herschel Walker, and Bo Jackson, foregoing their junior and senior years.. for the money to play professional football.. and see where these 2 guys regretted not finishing school... until 20 years later to come and return to get their degrees... only that 20 + years have gone by since their last class session...

Ask your self this..Is College Football really safe these days ?? especially from the barriers of money, sports agents, and the illegal tactics (recruiting techniques by the assistant coaches and booster-alumni people... )
